SHE KILLS MONSTERS follows Agnes Evans, a young woman reeling from the unexpected death of her teenage sister, Tilly. While cleaning out Tilly’s room, Agnes discovers a Dungeons & Dragons campaign notebook written by her sister. In an attempt to connect with the sister
she never truly knew, Agnes enlists the help of a local dungeon master to play through the adventure. As Agnes dives into the world of D&D, she meets Tilly’s alter ego—a fierce warrior known as Tillius the Paladin—and embarks on a fantastical journey filled with demons, dragons, and dark elves. Along the way, Agnes discovers that Tilly’s campaign is more than just a game; it’s a personal narrative filled with coded truths about Tilly’s struggles, friendships, and queerness.
